Coliglote: the application themes revealed!

So, where are we on that famous app?

We talk about it a lot, again and again, but what is there to date? Because it’s not all that, it’s all well and good the theory, but I know that you’re all eager to really use this Coliglote application to be able to progress and practice with a native.

So, today it’s “operation transparency” to keep you informed of progress!

  • The IT development is finished, but it is now necessary to go through a phase of series of tests, to detect all the possible bugs and fix them. This may take a few more weeks.
  • We now have a downloadable “test” version of Coliglote for Android and IOS. I have it on my personal devices, but it is not yet publicly available.
  • The screens of the application are all visible on this test version and more or less functional.
  • It still remains to translate in the 10 languages of the application all the user interface. But to do this I’m waiting to have solved all the bugs already in French.

Today I wanted to finally show you something concrete: I made screenshots on my phone to show you what it already looks like.

1 Start page

2 Home Page

It will be finalized with a different character for each language: like a personal teacher!

3 “I learn autonomoulsy” page

This part of the application is already almost operational, with 10 different types of exercises for each theme.

4 All the themes for working with images!

34 in all, for the moment…

5 “I learn by interacting with a native” page

This is where there is still a lot to be tested. This is the most complicated part of computer development because it requires a connection between users, an exchange between them, corrections of their written or oral productions, ratings, evaluations … (But we’ll get there, we’ll get there!).

That’s it! I hope this little “appetizer” has given you the patience to wait a little longer. I’m really sorry for the delay in making Coliglote available, but like all large-scale projects it was something to be expected. The application is very complete and complex, which explains the long development work.

Having said that, it’s better to have a well thought-out, quality application that comes out a little late than an application that’s rushed but not functional, isn’t it?

I almost don’t dare to give you any more delay for the next release of the application, me, of course! I’m going to be wide in my estimation this time, so you can only have a good surprise if it comes out before: think that before the end of spring it’s possible…fingers crossed!

While waiting for its release, I obviously continue to help you in all languages on my Facebook group and to feed this blog with interesting articles about languages. Feel free to react or ask questions in the comments of this article!

If you want to find us on Facebook, it’s here:

To be notified of the release of the application it is here that you must register (everything is free):

Don’t hesitate to share with all your contacts interested in learning foreign languages: the more Coliglote users there are, the better the application will be for everyone!

See you soon for more news…
